Exploring other areas of design, art, technology and craft inspire and motivate me to continually improve and experiment and to create useable and engaging products and experiences. Learning is a large part of this and I enjoy trying out new possibilities and learning new skills. Recently I've learned tiling, joinery, carpentry, plumbing and bricklaying while rebuilding a house in North London.
Having worked in a few kitchens once upon a time, I've always been fascinated by food, flavour and the processes involved in the culinary arts. I love exploring other cultures' food, recipe development and flavour combinations as well as the commercial side to food. I've setup and ran a successful street food stalls, a cafe in London's Finsbury Park and a restaurant in Malaysia.
My parents gave me my first motorbike when I was 12, since then my love affair with motorbikes has grown. I have owned a number of different bikes over the years and use them daily, come rain or shine!
The process of organising an extended holiday is so different and exciting compared to a 2 week holiday. The anticipation of the unknown, overground travel, moving through a country, interacting with the people and learning about the culture is my nirvana.

"Although I have only worked with Phil for a few short weeks he has shown he possesses all the qualities you’d expect from a highly capable lead designer. Over and above his creative abilities he is helpful, flexible and adaptable, often going the extra mile to fulfil requirements and satisfy customers. This he has achieved in addition to recruiting, managing and motivated a talented team of designers who owe much to his tutorage.
Among his most recent accomplishments are the redesign of the House of Fraser website and the launch of high profile fashion brands, most notably, CHANEL.
